Luckily, YouTube channel The Unusual Suspect  is on hand to give a glimpse as to what the film may have looked like. It posted a recut trailer of the movie online Thursday, which has since garnered more than 700,000 views. Via Reddit, the channel has also revealed just how it created the spoof clip: Comment from discussion Unusual__Suspect’s comment from discussion “Back in the late 90’s Will Smith was offered the role of Neo in ‘The Matrix’ but he turned it down. So I made a trailer that shows what the film might’ve looked like had he been cast.”

The Unintended Consequences Of An Easy Life

A little while back, I wrote about Keynes’ prediction that our greatest challenge today would be what to do with all the leisure time we now have as a result of technology doing all the work that previously kept us occupied. My conclusion was – as you’re probably only too well aware – that this problem doesn’t seem to have materialized as we’ve just filled the time with even more work in pursuit of increased productivity, higher incomes and better standards of living. This debate has taken a new turn in recent months as we ask a more nuanced question about the role of technology in our lives, questioning the fundamental case for technology progression at all: Do we really want to be more productive? What are the unintended consequences of technology making the little things in life easier and easier? My thinking on this was sparked by a fascinating depiction of a day of our lives in 2030 by Vodafone’s Head of Product Management, Sally Fuller . In this utopia/dystopia, as I wake up my coffee machine is alerted by the sensors under my skin that I will soon be vying for my caffeine hit.

Would You Fly In A SpaceX Rocket?

If nothing else, Elon Musk, the mastermind behind Tesla Motors, SolarCity, and SpaceX, knows how to get attention. Recently, he made headlines when he revealed that next year SpaceX, the private space exploration company he founded in 2002, intends to fly two paying customers on a mission that would travel to the moon, orbit the moon without landing, and then return to land on Earth. A private space company has never sent a manned mission into space. The main reason is obvious. No private space company has the history needed to guarantee the safety of the passengers, whether they are astronauts or, in the case of SpaceX’s proposed mission, mega-wealthy customers

Caillou is a pretty notorious figure in the parenting world. Engineer Makes Ham And Cheese Sandwich That Looks Like Vin Diesel

This celebrity sandwich sculpture really cuts the mustard. It should: It’s a ham and cheese sandwich that looks amazingly like actor Vin Diesel. The intricately carved deli-cacy is the work of William Osman, a mechanical/electrical engineer in Ventura, California. Osman’s speciality is posting YouTube videos that he describes as having “dubious quality, questionable integrity and unethical delivery.” Naturally, a guy with those attributes couldn’t turn down a challenge from a viewer who wanted him to make a Vin Diesel deli sandwich “using laser-cut cross sections of laser-cut ham.” Osman used a computer program to create a model of Diesel’s upper torso. He then used the laser to cut layers and layers of the cheapest supermarket ham he could buy. Those layers were then assembled into Vin Diesel’s likeness.

‘World’s Blackest Black’ Outdone By Even Blacker Black

Behold the two artworks above. The one on the left appears like a standard sculpture, a three-dimensional rendering of a mustachioed man’s face. The sculpture on the right, however, appears more like a flat, black blob. Yet in fact, you are looking at two identically shaped, three-dimensional sculptures; when the two are viewed from a different angle, you can see the same bulges and curves in both. The sculpture on the right just happens to be really, really,  really  black. A black so black everything made in the material appears completely flat and empty.  In 2014, a color formerly known as the “world’s blackest black” was developed by a U.K

Republicans Are About To Sell Your Browser History. Here’s How To Protect Yourself.

Comcast has done the impossible. Somehow, Americans are about to hate it (and just about every other large internet service provider in the country) more than  they already do . Thanks in no small part to the efforts of those ISPs, the House of Representatives passed a bill Tuesday that would allow internet and telecom companies to share customers’ personal information, including web browsing history , without their consent. Rep.  Marsha Blackburn  (R-Tenn.), who introduced the legislation in the House, has  received $693,000 from the internet and telecom industry  over the course of her 14-year political career, including $77,000 from Comcast, $98,600 from Verizon, and $104,000 from AT&T. While we’re on the subject,  here’s a complete list of every politician who voted for Tuesday’s bill , and how much the telecom industry gave them in their most recent election cycle.  Yeah
