Stephen Colbert Leads 360-Degree Tour Of His Studio For The Superfans

Stephen Colbert has become a very popular late-night host. Just last month, the comedian officially won the ratings battle between the various late shows, besting the Jimmys in an upset. Most of this new audience has come for the Donald Trump jokes, which Colbert has made his current specialty. As such, YouTube clips from “The Late Show” often gain a large viewership when he makes fun of the current president. But his latest viral video actually doesn’t have a single mention of Trump. In a segment aimed at the Colbert superfans ― of which there are apparently many ― “The Late Show” host gave a somewhat “Birdman”-style tour of the program’s backstage.

The 10 Brands That The LGBTQ Community Perceives To Be The Most Inclusive

Technology brands are consistently viewed as the most inclusive for the LGBTQ community, a new survey has found.  YouGov BrandIndex named Amazon as the best perceived brand by queer consumers, while Netflix and YouTube came in at third and fourth place, respectively. There were a number of surprising outliers, too. New to the Top 10 this year was Dawn, which came in fifth place.  In a Thursday interview with Brandchannel, YouGov BrandIndex CEO Ted Marzilli said that LGBTQ consumers naturally gravitated to products whose advertising efforts were queer-inclusive. “I don’t think it’s a matter of taste as really this: gay men and women ― like all of us ― generally like to see themselves depicted in mainstream advertising,” he said.  Though LGBTQ people continue to made strides toward equality, Marzilli doesn’t think that the need for a survey to determine the best-perceived brands among queer consumers will be going away anytime soon. “I believe it will always be necessary,” he said , “since the LGBTQ community is a demographic in its own right, as much as parents, minorities and millennials.” Check out the top 10 brands in YouGov BrandIndex’s LGBT Brand Perception Rankings below.  — This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. Donald Trump Asks World Leaders To Call Him On His Cell Phone. That Can Only Mean 1 Thing.

President Donald Trump is being gleefully mocked over his latest reported request to world leaders. On Tuesday, The Associated Press reported that Trump was encouraging his global counterparts to call him directly on his cell phone if they wanted to talk to him. Twitter users were initially keen to point out the problems it could pose: He doesn't want transcripts or records of his conversations. He wants to hide his words even from his own administration. https://t.co/H5n869L7mY — Rachel Joy Larris (@RachelLarris) May 31, 2017 In translation: Trump has been giving his insecure cell phone # to every hostile intelligence service there is. https://t.co/S3enIVrz03 — Dan Murphy (@bungdan) May 31, 2017 Obvious absurdity aside, the more disturbing bit is that this is also an obvious attempt circumvent proper govt transparency.

Miss USA Reminds Young Women That They Have A Seat At The Table In STEM

Recently-crowned Miss USA Kára McCullough has some powerful words for women and girls who wish to pursue a career in STEM.  In a video for Now This  posted on Wednesday, McCullough talks about how much she loves her position as emergency preparedness specialist with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission , but how it wasn’t an easy journey to get there.  “Being a woman in the science industry is truly empowering,” she says. “I walk into my agency knowing that I am meant to be here.” McCullough, who majored in chemistry in college, touches on her struggles with math and how having those struggles inspired her to push herself even harder.  Prior to being crowned Miss USA, she started a community program,  Science Exploration for Kids , to encourage young girls and boys to get enthusiastic about STEM subjects, especially those who, like her, struggle with certain aspects of it.  McCullough hopes to use her platform as Miss USA to encourage young girls to explore the STEM fields, and stay confident even if they feel out of place.  “Don’t ever give up on yourself,” she says in the video. “I struggled with math as a child but I allowed myself to not be limited by those inabilities.” Hear, hear.  type=type=RelatedArticlesblockTitle=Related… + articlesList=591b4566e4b05dd15f0bf678,59193e17e4b0fe039b35aa65,5919176de4b00f308cf6396a — This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms.
