Diner Appears To Put Hair In Own Food Before Writing Bad TripAdvisor Review

It’s enough to leave a bad taste in the mouth of any restaurant owner: A customer intentionally puts a hair in the food and uses it as an excuse not to pay the bill. Then the customer attempts to blackmail the restaurant by threatening a bad review on TripAdvisor. Such an unappetizing encounter reportedly happened Saturday night at Casa Nostra Ristorante , an Italian eatery in Brisbane, Australia. A customer at the restaurant claimed there was a hair in her pasta and demanded the meal be comped, co-owner Sarah Biuso told News.com.au. However, the waiter noticed the hair didn’t match that of any of the employees, she added

Can We Finally Admit It Was Always About Sexism, Never Emails?

It was never really about the emails. Remember the private email server and account that Hillary Clinton used to conduct official State Department business during her tenure as Secretary of State? Of course you do! It was the subject of months of Congressional investigations , numerous tweets from Donald Trump, front page headlines , and calls to “lock her up!” “But her emails” became a widely-circulated meme. So, what happened when it came out that Vice President Mike Pence used a private email account to conduct government business ― and was hacked ― during his time as governor of Indiana?

Chelsea Clinton And Kellyanne Conway Share Unlikely Friendly Moment On Twitter

Chelsea Clinton’s Twitter beef with Kellyanne Conway is on pause. At least for now. The duo feuded in February after Clinton attacked President Donald Trump’s adviser over her made-up comments on the “ Bowling Green Massacre ” that never happened. But on Friday, Clinton offered an unexpected olive branch by tweeting her condemnation of the vile sexual “joke”  that Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) made  at Wednesday’s Washington Press Club’s annual congressional dinner  about Conway looking “kind of familiar there in that position” when she was photographed earlier this week kneeling on the Oval Office couch . Despicable

Facebook Prioritizes What Makes You ‘Sad’ Or ‘Angry’ Over What You ‘Like’

Facebook just revealed a really intriguing secret behind their “like” button options. The company’s algorithm weighs your “reactions” to posts ― love, haha, wow, sad and angry ― over just regular “likes” to determine what sort of content to put in your News Feed. In conjunction with the first anniversary of reactions, Facebook has determined over the last year that if someone takes the extra step to select a reaction, it’s “an even stronger signal that they would want to see that type of post than if they left a Like on the post,” a spokesperson told us. Strangely, all reactions are weighted the same, which means the News Feed prioritizes things you “love” equally to things that make you “angry” or “sad.” And it prioritizes all of those over things you merely “like.”     So, if you wondered why you were constantly seeing that random high school friend’s wedding photos, it’s probably from that time you were scrolling through Facebook after a night out and felt particularly generous with your “love” on their engagement photos. H/T Mashable — This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. It may be used for personal consumption, but may not be distributed on a website.

Twitter Inches Forward In Fight Against Abuse

Twitter trolls be warned: Mute is coming for you.  On Wednesday, the social media company unveiled a series of new measures  in its fight against harassment on the site, which ran particularly rampant  during the 2016 presidential campaign. The changes include increased automatic screening for abusive tweets, more powerful filtering options for users and greater transparency from Twitter about how it’s dealing with abusive accounts. Of the three, users will likely appreciate the expanded filtering options the most, particularly the powerful new “mute” features. According to Twitter, users will be able to mute specific phrases, keywords and conversations from their timelines. They’ll also be able to choose how long the mute is enforced, whether it’s one day or indefinitely

Elon Musk Is Sticking With Trump For SpaceX Contracts

These are troubling times for Elon Musk. Last week, Tesla, his electric car manufacturer, announced the company’s latest round of bad financial news; for the fourth quarter of 2016, Tesla lost 69 cents a share, a larger loss than Wall Street analysts had expected. Even more troubling, Chief Financial Officer Jason Wheeler announced he would step down in April, continuing a trend of, according to one financial outlet, “ executives ….leaving the company in droves.” With Tesla looking at more financial losses in the future, Musk revealed that to avoid getting “close to the edge,” which would “probably not be the best thing for shareholders,” he intended to raise additional capital — yet again. Musk may need the money if the United Auto Workers gets its way and organizes Tesla’s currently nonunionized workers — a move vehemently opposed by Musk, who has gone so far as to denounce one Tesla worker’s allegation that he and his fellow employees sometimes face unsafe working conditions as “ morally outrageous .” Musk’s comment offended some progressives. Then again, ever since the election in November, the left has been disturbed by Musk’s apparent deference to President Trump

YouTube Is Getting Into The Live TV Game

Good news for cord cutters, YouTube is getting into live TV. On Tuesday, the company announced its launching a new live and on-demand internet TV streaming service called YouTube TV. Subscribers will have access to more than 30 networks, including ABC, CBS FOX, NBC, USA, FX and 10 sports networks, including ESPN, Fox Sports and NBCSN for $35 per month, in addition to paid YouTube content from YouTube Red. That price also includes six accounts, which allows for personalized recommendations for each member of the household, though only three accounts can stream at one time.  Notably absent from YouTube’s service are Viacom-owned channels Discovery, A&E, AMC, TBS, TNT, MTV, Comedy Central and CNN.  While no specific launch date has been announced as of yet, YouTube TV joins the growing space of internet TV streaming services as more people look for ways to say goodbye to traditional cable. In addition to the more established Sling TV and Sony’s Playstation Vue , AT&T recently launched a similar service with DirecTVNow , though it seems to have been launched prematurely.
